10 July 2014
1 more day to Fridaaaaaaaayyyyy

Had a pretty long Dept meeting yesterday but indeed a good one. Boss comes in only once a week now and so, we only have Wednesday to chit chat with her. To me, that's good enough. Hahaha. Cos other than that, she'll reach me on my mobile to check on things, but with me around... Hehehe... Ops is in good hands la. And I must say, my present team is good too. So all is well.

So since Mama returned from Australia, we're back to being able to eat good homecooked food. I tell you, the past 2 months when Mum wasn't home, it's either Heidi and I eat out, we cook super simply meals, or we order in. So since the Chef's return, we've had steamed fish, sambal vege, black sauce fish etc. Super yummy! For me, I used to really feel dread washing dishes, especially kualis, but now, hahaha... no complaints man... no complaints... For good food? No complaints... *Ahhhhh*

Feels good to be back blogging. It's really a good avenue to release stress, rant a little, talk nonsense etc. I know social media have been taking over the world like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Wordpress and the list goes on and on. I do miss the 'quiet times' when smart phones weren't the in thing. A good ol' Nokia 3210 made me a very happy girl back when I was in secondary school. That was my first mobile phone and it was a simple GSM phone. That was like in the 90s. As a 90s kid, we had simple toys. Friends were still catching spiders, playing soccer, playing block catching, swimming, girls play hopscotch, hula hoops, playgrounds etc. Those simple times were good. Very good. School ends, take a bus, come home, eat lunch, do homework, take a nap or watch TV, have dinner, watch a bit more TV, then sleep. And it's the next day...

See Natalie's blog that I found on Google: http://www.nkayesel.com/2013/08/20/childhood-memories-of-the-late-90s-singapore/
She did a compilation of whatever I wanted to say about being a 90s kid. Thanks Natalie! Ahh, memories...
And it's really what I went through back then. I did/watched/played/owned everything that was written in the blog!!! EVERYTHING!!! Hahaha...

Ok, back to reality. 2014 has been good to me. Everything still has been plain and simple. Want to do, do. Don't want to do, don't do. Want to go, go. Don't want to go, don't go. Hahaha! And because my last post before yesterday's post was in July 2013, I didn't get a chance to say,"I PASSED MY DRIVING!!" With reference to my post on 18 June 2013, I DID IT!! Yeaaaaa!! First attempt, after 11 lessons which includes 1 test (that saved me a hell lot of moola), I completed that phase in life in the month of November!

Hell yeah... took me like what, 10 years of procrastination and realisation that I might not have the car to drive in around 3 years! Hahaha. Yup. COE is ending in 2017. But we'll see how it goes. The new Honda Jazz just launched! *hint hint* Again, we'll see how it goes la... no hurry to decide on anything. And definitely no intention of getting a big car or anything. I'm just glad that Mama allowed me to drive almost immediately after I got my license. Else, like lots of friends say, this skill gets rusty if you don't practice often. So thank you Mama! I am now an official Family Driver! I drive to work, most of the time for meetings if it doesn't clash with Mama's and to almost anywhere and everywhere whenever I'm with family. It's time to relieve my mum of driving duties when we're out together as a family. It's now my duty to ensure I send or fetch my family whenever I use the car. That's the least I could do. So for now, just look forward to Nov 2014. That'll be the day when I take down the small plastic square.

For now, cheers!
