Wahahaha... as u can see from the top... I think u could roughly guess what I did la.

You can see that silly gal posing for the camera!
Yesssssssss! That was the harvest that we made on Mon!
It was a tough expedition but it had to be done. And let me tell you why.
Let's start from morning ok.
When I woke up, I felt a bulge in my eye. I tot it was normal cos sometimes when you wake up, it just feels a little sore. All you gotta do is rub it a little, remove the dirt in the eyes and you're done! But NO!!!
It still felt a little sore. So nvm. I carried on with my normal activities, waking up at abt 10 plus cos it was my off day. Then went to wash up and laze around watching TV. And then soon, it turned afternoon. At that time, the soreness became a little worse. So I put Eye-Mo, rest a while, then went to bathe. Wanted to go Orchard cos gotta settle Heidi's stuff right (refer to prev post). But before that, I was thinking why not go see the doc for a quick check and then get some eye drop and leave.
But things weren't that simple man~! When I was there, she checked my eye and her reaction was damn scary...
Doc : Erm... you got to see a Specialist. Cos the thing in your eye is not a foreign body. It's a softer texture, more of a like an ulcer. And the fastest way to see a Specialist is through A&E. So you have to go... like... right now! It's considered an Emergency. Wait outside and I'll write you a referral letter. Must go now ok! It's urgent.
ME: Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ok...!Damn, and there goes my shopping expedition! And so I waited outside for the letter, took a cab and rushed to NUH. Along the way, the pain was excruciating! Becos of the sunlight and light that comes from any other sources... it made my eye even much more sensitive. Even more painful.
Then at that time, I felt the urgency! Along the way I told Piggy and Mummy abt it, they were quite shocked. Honestly, I didn't think of it as an urgent case until I couldn't really see properly with all the light shining from all directions! That was when it turned scary.
So upon arriving at A&E, I saw that the estimated waiting time was 1-2hrs. And I totally freaked. I don't think I could survive that long without medication. The pain was getting worst. But before I knew it, they called my name like within 10-15mins. Maybe it was much more urgent then the rest who were there. All those at A&E, honestly, looked quite normal, except for those cases with broken arms and legs la!
Thankfully Heidi was there with me, she was my pillar of strength, carrying everything for me. She was quite sad though that we couldn't head to town for shopping cos she was starting sch today, and she needed to settle her lappy stuffs. So once seeing the doc and everything was done, now comes the verdict!
The doc said that I had to go to the Specialist the next day (which was yesterday) and it had to be early in the morning. Cos mine was quite an urgent case and they didn't want the ulcer to grow any bigger. So they scheduled me to go by 8.35am! So upon arriving, had to wait a damn long time man~! Heidi wasn't with me that time cos she couldn't wake up. She stayed up the whole night till 2 plus, just to ensure that I took my eye drop medication! And after that then she went to bed.
Thanks dearie! So after waiting for almost 2 hrs just for one doc, it was finally my turn. There was really ppl from all walks of life there! Different age groups as well. So my doc then examined my eye and told me that my eye was a rare case. Cos on most ocassions, only
monthly contact lens wearer would have such an issue. And most of the time it would only be an ulcer in the eye, not accompanied by redness. But for my case, I'm a
disposable contact lens wearer and there shouldn't be a reason why I should be having this issue! Disposables means I wear it once and then throw it. So cleanliness wise, it shouldn't be a prob. And furthermore, in terms of removing it, all I have to do it pinch both eyelids and it pops right out! So I don't even have finger contact with my eyes.
So what she did was that she told me to wait outside for a while, she got the nurse to prepare some plates (those that you place on a microscope) and told me to just hang on a while. After 30mins, they finally called me again. The doc then numbed my eye by using a yellow solution, and then used a SYRINGE to scrape the ulcer part to place on the plates. At that time, I was thinking on the chances of my shifting my seat or jerking cos I have to sneeze and what if she poked my eyeballs or something!!! ArGh!!!
It was really scary cos I could see her scrapping it. There was a reflection. But I didn't feel a thing. That was the best part. So within 10 mins, everything was settled. She told me to wait outside and that she would get 2 types of antibiotics for my eyes. Waited a while, they then called my name, I paid (which is of cos ex like hell!) and then I headed for the pharmacy.
The medicine that the doc prescribed required 2 hrs of making it cos it was a special lab requisition. So I had to come back only in the afternoon. My specialist appointment and everything ended at abt 11plus. So nvm. Come back again lor~!
To cut short, Mummy send me there later that afternoon (cos she was on halfday too!) and then headed home after that cos the medicine had to be refrigerated as well. The earlier one given by the A&E also had to be refrigerated. The whole hospital thingy was really scary la. Cos it costs, and not only that, we got to realise how fortunate we are compared to the other ppl that we saw at the hospital!
*yawnz* So anyway, I'm quite fine now. Eye still quite painful. But still manageable.
Coming back to the shopping expedition, this was what I bought.

Just within that 3 hrs or so, we chalked up abt 10 shopping bags!

You can see that I pinned up my hair so that I don't get hair in my eye. And you can also see how red my eye is.

Total damage : More than $2k (Food, 3 clothes, 3 shoes, 2 bags etc.)
Alrightey then. I gotta go rest my eye cos I'm not getting enough sleep. I gotta wake up throughout the night, every single hour, to dip the medicine into my eye. 2 bottles, application is 5mins apart. First bottle e.g. 12pm. 2nd bottle 12.05pm. And so on and so forth.
Right now, the doc said that I should still continue to do it tonight and tmr morning, same time, same place, same doctor again!
Ok la... shall cont again soon.
to be cont...
