Okie ppl...
Whew... after so many days... finally I've got time to blog again. Guess where have I been?!
Muahahaha...
BINTAN~!It was a fantastic trip man~! With the whole family. Yes! With the whole family, including Daddy too. And Daddy was like so cute throughout the whole trip cos he acted as though he has never gone overseas before! Hehehe. And the best part is there's a lot of photo logs together with this post.
(This post is gonna be an eye-opener for those who've never been to Bintan and wants to go ya! I went to Bintan Lagoon Resort... more details given below!)
Here's Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. The place where everyone has to go if you wanna go by ferry out of Singapore!

My family waiting for the confirmation boarding passes. We've only got the open ticket. We still need to confirm the seats and the ferry timing. All tickets for ferry and resort was arranged by our tour agency, Five Star Travel.

Our luggages... Heidi and I shared one small luggage. Ours is definitely the cuter one la. Hehehe!

The counter that you've gotta approach. Friendly ppl.

The main lobby of the ferry terminal. Rather big place.

Of cos before going on a trip, you've gotta get your body fully charged right?! So there's Killiney Kopitiam there. Can get your breakfast ranging from rice to noodles or even the toasted bread set. Affordable.

Heidi acting cute after staining the sides of her lips!
Can u see that? Hahaha... she'll kill me for uploading this pic! But who cares?!
Look!!! There's fruits available in a vending machine. Hehehe. Easily available with some coins! This is available only in the boarding area ya. So that means you gotta check yourself in first!

The view once you've gone through the Gate, and walking to the ferry.

Our departure ferry.

The view from inside the ferry. Damn nice~!

My excited parents!

A pic of the inside of the ferry. A decent looking ferry. Comfortable and cosy. And there's even a snack kiosk available downstairs. Potato chips are $2.80 though. Quite ex ah!

I love the view! This is the South China Sea for goodness sake!

Welcome to Bintan!

Bintan Resorts!

Whee~!

The view from inside the Bintan Lagoon Resorts bus.

The main lobby area. We were greeted with staffs who served us iced tea.
Shiok~
The view from the resort. Fantastic right?!

Some facilities available in the resort.

This is the Check-in Counter. The Check-out counter is directly opposite it.

The main lobby.

Toilet in my room. Room 5148.

The bed! We requested for King Size bed and sea facing. And this is what you get la. Hahaha! I love it~!

We even have a rest and relax area by the balcony... that corner was really nice. It was comfortable.

TV! What's a room without TV??

Nice right? Pls ignore the lady in the pic.

The view from the outside.

The best part abt the inside! Whoo...

Both of our dinner wear! Hahaha. Bought it earlier when we arrived. Had enough time for shopping before checking in. Check in is Singapore 4pm. Bintan 3pm. But we arrived there abt 1.30pm Singapore Time? Yeah... so that means we still had time for shopping. Wahahaha.

My food. Red Snapper Steak.

Heidi and Daddy's food. Giant Prawns.

Mummy's Red Snapper with baked potatoes.

Enjoying eh...

Some of the Dessert that was available. The buffet (which includes the Dessert) can only be gotten when you get a Main Course.

The view in the morning when Heidi and I are taking our morning stroll. Look at the sky.
The next few pics are of our blocks and the sea view.

That's Mummy's room on the top right hand corner.

That's my room on the top right hand corner too.

The sea

It's damn cooling when the water hits your feet

How beautiful can the South China Sea be...

The breeze is really good. Heidi was really enjoying herself.

We caught Gary! (
Remember Spongebob?) Hahaha. There were a lot of Hermit Crabs.

An upclose Hermit Crab. Hmm... it's not often you get to find a nice decent hermit crab. Hahaha!

Our breakfast. This is included in our package. Breakfast for the whole family. It's an International Buffet. Good food though~!

Gotta go down the stairs in order to get to our restaurant.

The shops! That is definitely not a place to be missed. The things that they sell there are not cheap though, but some items cannot be found in SG.

The buggies that can be rented at SGD20 an hour from the Concierge Counter.

There's a night spot there too. Clubbing is something not to be missed by Indos too.

The Leisure place. All kinds of games can be seen there. Ranging from Archery, Billard, Pool, Snake and Ladders (the bigger version), Laser Quest, ATV (All Terrain Vehicles) and even things like the Arcade (but with very few older versions of games). Of cos there're swimming facilities too la. That's at the back area.

We booked a slot the night before for ATV. One thing to note:
ALL activities HAVE TO BE BOOKED ONE (1) DAY IN ADVANCE. Our time slot was for morning 10am. And then later at 11.15am, we booked Archery too. But they had some problem with the bow, and furthermore, we were there a little later than 11.15am. So they took that time to repair the bow. So another one more thing to note: PLEASE BE THERE ON TIME!
Another thing to note:
PLEASE WEAR COVERED SHOES WHILE RIDING/DRIVING. The branches/rubbish or other particles may hit you as you're driving into the jungle area. And of cos it's not as clean as you may imagine la. Hehehe! Both Heidi and I got scratched by branches and some other things while riding.
Hurts like hell lor!
And there we are. A pic of us getting ready to go on our journey.

The whole family in on the ATV. For the ATV (which is the bike one ya), that is SGD50 per hr. As for the Dune Buggy (which is the car type, for 2 persons), that is SGD75 per hr. You can have 30 mins also. We didn't know that it would be so tiring, we op for 1hr. The expedition was fantastic. It was an eye opener.
And mind u, it really hurts like shit man~! Esp when u get burned by the radiator.
This is Julia. She's living in the Eastern part of Singapore too. Haha. Maybe can bump into her one fine day. She was also another ATV buddy! Somehow along the way, we kinda got lost. And actually, all these while, I was the first one leading the whole team, excluding the Guide. But halfway through the journey, our lead guide brought 2 Dune Buggies for a faster expedition. And Julia's bro and dad were one of those who wanted to experience the faster thrill. Heidi and I wanted the slower journey, to enjoy ma. And Julia was together with us too. So we got lost halfway cos our other guide was kinda a little too fast. And believe it or not, Daddy and Mummy went for the faster expedition! Leaving all the kiddies with me. So I had a part to play. Must take care of them ma. So I asked Julia whether she wanted to go in front of me, she agreed, but when we kinda got lost, she asked me to lead cos she was afraid. And so I did. And along the way, we manage to find the guide! Thankfully, and with my parents some more. They decided to go the slower way!
But then halfway through we caught up with the rest of the group.
Throughout the whole 1 hr, it wasn't riding/driving throughout the whole journey. We could rest too. The guide brought us to the far end of the expedition and we rest and took pics there.
By the time we reach the Leisure Centre again, all our butts were wet. It seems it was becos of the sponge within the seats. Washed but not thoroughly dried.
After the ATV, since we couldn't play Archery right, we played Laser Quest instead. SGD10 for 15 mins but that 15 mins was damn tiring. I was almost breathless man~! But I was the winner! Shooting my family from the back was the best part. Fun time~!

This was the last pic I took of the scenery before checking out.

Can you see the sunburn on my face?! It was damn painful lor!

Both my parent's stoning faces...

I caught sight of that extremely huge vessel, this is just 5 mins away from Singapore!

This is an even upclose pic of my sunburn. The one on my left wrist is even much more clearer!
Black and White~!Anyway, I totally enjoyed this 2D1N experience in Bintan. It is one of those well spent holidays overseas, even for a short trip kind!
And of cos, not forgetting our harvest....

Nice eh... the white ones are mine. The brownish one is Heidi's.
The best part which I totally left out, which most ppl would definitely freak out......................is none other than...........................you really wanna know?!
ME SPENDING MORE THAN 1,000,000 IN BINTAN... (do ask me if you wanna know what I bought ya!)Wahaha...
And with that, I have completed my whole expedition to Bintan. You can alwiz ask me for more details ok.
To side track, my Polo Ralph has finally reached my door step after the import that took so god damn long! Hehehe. Goody.
Ok la. I'm damn tired. Gonna retire to bed now. Tmr still working!
