Why u may ask?!
BECAUSE OF THE PEOPLE...Well, let me share with u all that has happened yesterday in a brief. First up, we all met at Jurong East MRT Station (behind Popular) for the bus by 7.15am. The bus eventually came, we all switched buses becos of our house colour. I'm in Green house. So i was in the bus together with the peeps from Red house. All of us were so happy cos there were a lot of khakis sitting together! People like Mike kor, Sunny, Say Kok, Ronnie, Benny & Colin... these ppl were the havoc noisy ones! But then again, these are the people who kept the spirit alive. If it weren't for them, I think this whole trip wouldn't have been that fun anymore. So anyway, throughout the whole trip, I was sitting with Sha. She looked unwell so I was there to chit chat with her, talk nonsense & even sang songs! Talking abt singing songs, the whole bunch of us at the back were so noisy. We were cracking jokes, singing songs, making fun of the guide... all the rest of us gals were laughing and laughing non-stop throughout the whole trip.
First stopBREAKFAST!!!
We were hungry. So we stopped at Gelang Patah for breakfast.
Sitted at my table: Colin, Sam, Mike kor, Say Kok, Sunny, Ronnie, Henry & BennyWe ate different varieties. Some ate Noodles like Wan Ton Mee whereas the rest ate Roti Channai (i think that's how u spell it...). Drank tea, and in a blink of an eye @ 9.15am, we had to go back on the bus to head to another destination.
Second stopDESARU FRUIT FARM!!!
The trip from Gelang Patah to Desaru was about 30mins or so. All of us were listening to the guide telling us all abt the history of how some fruits got their names. All of us couldn't be bothered to listen! Mike kor kept on disturbing the guide and correcting her English! That was super funny... We were disturbing her throughout the whole time man~! Anyway, we arrived there and there was a guide who brought us in to tour the whole place. They had many fruits there man! Mango, Honey Mandarin Oranges, Passionfruit, Durian and lots more. There were animals there too. (
i shall upload those pics soon~!!) After touring the whole place, we went to the shop house area and sat in for some Honey talk. Telling us abt how good Wild Honey and Royal Jelly is... in the end I don't think anybody bought any. But we went to their local products shop. I left the place spending
RM42.50 there. Bought 4 cutie pens, 1 packet of 5 clips and 1 keychain. Damn cute~
Third stopLunchtime!!!
We went to a Chinese 'Halal' restaurant for lunch.
Sitted at my table: Colin, Sam, Mike kor, Say Kok, Maggie, Daniel Chong, Betty, Sharon & Shermaine
There were quite a no. of dishes in total. We had Fishball Soup, in which all of us only had 2 Fishballs each, we had steamed fish, fried cabbage, Hot Plate Oyster Omelete, Deep fried butter lobster, Chilli small crab and cut fruits comprising of Red and Yellow Watermelon and Pineapples. It was quite filling though I didn't eat that much rice. Lunch was paid for btw. Forth stopOstrich Farm!!!
It was so smelly but oh well, that's the smell of animals right?! So anyway, there were so many ostriches! A LOT MAN! And of which many were females. How to identify a female to a male ostrich? Look at the colour of the feathers and also whether are they 'botak' at the rear. Of cos we all know that the male species of animals are the better looking ones, just like the lions for e.g. So of cos for the ostriches it was no different. The male ones have darker and blacker feathers and their beaks are pinkish in colour.
We also had a glimpse of how the mating dance is being done too! Another interesting part was the opening of the shell. The shell is 2mm thick and it can take up to a weight of around 90kg. We had a demo of my colleague Desmond who stood on it and it didn't crack!!! Amazing. It's so thick man~! Then the owner drilled a hole in it and removed the egg from the egg shell. Damn cool... and the egg white and yolk is enough to fill a size of our soup plactic container man~! Or I think it would overflow too~ It's a lot of substance for one egg that size. 1 of that egg is equivalent to 1 carton of our regular sized eggs in terms of cholestrol. But nevertheless, it's an interesting trip. I bought 1 ostrich feather pen as a souvenior from there. Hehehe.
RM8. They even sold the ostrich egg shells there too. From those broken in half, to one that is in a whole except with one hole underneath. They sold their fat products too in terms of moisturizing creams and so on. Their meat can even be consumed. Some of them bought satay and burger. Eeew...! "Some things should best be left alone!" (sounds familiar??)Fifth stopSHOPPING!!! muahahaha... the best part...
But sadly, we only had 1 hr 45 mins. Because of the time that we took up at the fruit farm and also the ostrich farm, we didn't have much time for shopping. But, I still did manage to buy something. 1 top and 1 bottom from Dorothy Perkins and 1 Mascara from Bobbi Brown.
RM143. Didn't really cost that much for those 3 items. And then we bumped into Sunny and accompanied him to buy shirts. A while later, bro(Ronnie) joined us. We walked around some more on the 2nd level, bumping into even more of our guys. Both bro and I were walking around looking at watches. Coincidentally, we both loved buying watches! He was looking for the the Nautica watch that he had on him and wanting to know whether was the price the same. But no where had the same watch... I think they didn't bring it in or something. So after that, the guys went to see more clothes and that was the time I bought my Bobbi Brown. After paying for it, I told Sunny that since he wanted to buy Dunkin Doughnuts, we should probably head on down cos it was already 6.10pm. We have to be back on the bus by 6.30pm. Both bro and I bought 6. 2 for me and 4 for him. He didn't have much things to buy. So still had lots of money left. He paid for the doughnuts.
RM11. It was damn nice as a snack! I ate 'Boston Chocolate'. Whoooooooooo... Speechless... bro ate 'Chocolate Pudding'. Soon it was dinner time!Last stopDINNER TIME!!!
We went to Danga Bay for dinner. We ate seafood. Once again, damn nice!!!
Sitted at my table: Colin, Sam, Mike kor, Say Kok, Ronnie, Hashim, Herman, Kelvin & Shariza.I was sitting at the wrong table man~ You know why? The people at my table were all Piranhas! Once the food came, all their chopsticks went in, leaving the bones remaining only!!! I'm serious! It may sound dramatic but i'm serious! I could barely grab a piece of food for myself and they were all gone. First course, Bittergourd and egg soup, sweet and spicy deep fried fish, minced meat toufu, drunken prawns, fried vege, Fried chicken and longan seacoconut for dessert. All our food lasted only max 3 mins on the table. After that it was all gone! While the others were still eating their 3rd course maybe, we already finished everything and was waiting for dessert! Muahahaha! Going back to SingaporeWhile in the bus heading back to SG, we were singing lotsa love songs. Once the guide finished talking, she turned on the TV in the bus. She played some English songs on the bus that comes with the MTV too. Some had lyrics some doesn't. We sang and sang and sang all the way till we reached Singapore. Hahaha! Damn fun. It was one of the best trips I've ever had as a group. By the time we reached Singapore, it was already 9plus. I slept immediately upon reaching home! Hehehe...
**We have decided to go for a prawning expedition altogether! I'll be the one who'll be organising and then we can all prawn together till the wee hours of the morning! Muahaha. It should be fun! The last time I prawned was 5 months ago?? Around there... It shall rekindle again.
