What a morning man! Firstly, lemme fill u in with what happened this morning. My mum is apparently sick (yeah right!) and i accompanied her to the doc this morning at Banyan. The doc gave my mum MC for 2 days (kenna cheated already!). So later on, Mummy said that since yesterday evening didn't get to eat the Teochew Porridge, we might as well go in the morning, which is today la. So i said ok!
We walked back to the house carpark, got into the car and drove to Jurong East St 24, at Blk 253 to eat at a coffeeshop that sells very good Porridge. Mummy alwiz eats there in the morning after sending Heidi to school cos to go to work at ard 7 plus is too early. So she goes there to eat Porridge first, then head on to work. So me being quite 'sua ku', never go there eat before, was quite excited la. But when we reached there and parked the car and walked over to the coffeeshop, that stupid stall wasn't open! Ok nvm, at least can go somewhere else to eat. So before we left that place, we went to walk ard first to check out the place. Then Mummy was sharing all the past experience that she had when she was patrolling the place. Quite interesting. Hahaha. A lot of very old shops there selling a lot of antique stuff, like i saw this shop selling pots and containers, brooms and what not, all their stuff damn old ok! Like can never find anywhere else anymore, well maybe at Chinatown la, but not in JURONG! But i saw it. Hahaha. I spent half the time Ooo-ing and Ahh-ing.
So on to the next location, which was the coffeeshop along Jurong East St 31, Blk 352 which sells good Teochew Porridge also.
BUT THEN...
they only Porridge with 3 types of food condiments!!! One big pot of 'Kiam Chye', ong big pot of boiled peanuts and one big pot of 'tau kee'!!! That's all ok!!! I was like kaoz....after going from place to place and this is what happens. It's not like you don't have money to pay u know! Just no fortune to eat only!! Wah...I was so pissed man. Grumbling all the way. Then Mummy brought me to another nearby, walking distance nameless coffeeshop! We walked past and realised that they sell Porridge too. I was so damn hungry that i didn't wanna walk anywhere else already! So we just settled there. The food wasn't all that great but edible la.
Out of 4 chopsticks, i would give it 2½ chopsticks!
Ok la, enough of my Porridge expedition that nearly drove me nuts man! After that, we headed home. Mummy just ate her medicine and is resting now, watching TV to be exact. And i think i shall do the same la!
